The GOX language

GOX extends the Go language with modules and templates oriented to the development of web applications.

The Go code can live with these extensions within the same project. This section documents the organization of the GOX code, its imports and resolution of modules by aliases.

Content

  • Modules: declaration, public members and visibility.
  • Imports: joint use of Go packages and GOX modules.
  • Import aliases: hierarchical resolution of routes starting with @.

The declarative syntax used to build HTML is documented separately in Templates.

Integration with Go

GOX retains the rules of identifiers, types and visibility that are familiar to those who work with Go. Its extensions are integrated into the same file without replacing the language package system.

The GOX modules organize application files, while the Go packages continue to be resolved through their usual import routes. Both mechanisms can be used together.
